May 28 students of specialties "Software Engineering" and "Cybersecurity" information technology departments took part in a field trip to the Avangard stadium in Rivne. The event was organized with the support of the company MVcom — a reliable partner of the educational institution with which a memorandum of cooperation has been signed.
MVcom is a leading provider of IT solutions in the field of video surveillance, structured cabling systems, access control and management systems, IP intercoms, server equipment, data centers (DPCs), conference room solutions, smart lighting systems, and Smart City initiatives.
One of the company's key projects was participation in the technical equipment of a multifunctional stadium "Vanguard", which after reconstruction will become a modern space for holding football matches and athletics competitions. The reconstruction of the sports arena began in 2019 and continues to this day.
The beginning of the tour was marked by a historical note: near the stadium there was once a palace of the Lubomirski princes, which, unfortunately, has not survived to this day.
The tour participants were given a detailed explanation of the features of the facility's reconstruction. In particular, emphasis was placed on the fact that all technical solutions must meet the requirements Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) and Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)These requirements formed the basis of the technical specifications for the design and installation work. The design capacity of the stadium is 15,000 spectator seats, according to which all technical systems were designed. As part of the implementation of the IT infrastructure, the following were implemented:
- fiber optic network between main nodes;
- uninterruptible power supply units with automatic switchover to diesel generators;
- seamless Wi-Fi coverage based on hardware Mikrotik;
- virtualized network separation to ensure stability and security.
During the tour, students had the opportunity not only to see the results of technical implementation, but also to hear professional explanations directly from the specialists who implemented these solutions.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of continuous professional development of IT specialists, as today there is a shortage of qualified personnel in the local labor market.
During the two-hour visit, the students gained valuable knowledge, new impressions, and motivation for further studies. We sincerely thank the company MVcom for cooperation and the opportunity to get acquainted with real examples of successful integration of IT technologies into large-scale infrastructure facilities.
