Teachers of mathematical disciplines Yulia Yukhymchuk and Lyudmila Petrivska conducted a scientific and educational event "Mathematics beyond the textbook: fascinating facts and current trends" - an educational event for the International Day of Mathematics, where students of the 11th grade were able to expand their knowledge about the importance of mathematics in real life, learn interesting and unexpected applications of mathematics in various fields of science. This can help increase the level of interest of students in mathematics and science in general.
Mathematics is not just a set of formulas and equations. It is the basis for understanding the world around us, a place for a tool for solving real-world problems, and a key element in the development of scientific and technological achievements. This idea was the basis of the educational event, which was held under the title "Mathematics beyond the textbook: fascinating facts and current trends." The goal of this event was to expand students' understanding of mathematical concepts, their application in real life, and relevance.
