On March 13, an interesting and useful meeting for future entrepreneurs – students of the 11-P group – took place at the Rivne Regional Universal Scientific Library. The topic of discussion was consumer rights and ways to protect them. The speakers of the event were: Oleksandr Krot – Head of the Department of Control in the Field of Trade, Works and Services of the Main Directorate of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in the Rivne Region, as well as Valentina Andrusenko – Head of the advertising control and compliance with anti-tobacco legislation sector.

Experts spoke in detail about the basic rights of consumers, stipulated by the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights". Particular attention was paid to the issues of quality of goods and services, mechanisms for returning low-quality products and liability of entrepreneurs for violation of customers' rights. Students learned how to act in case of unfair advertising or misleading when making purchases.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to ask questions to experts and receive practical advice on protecting their rights in various life situations. Such events are extremely important, as they form legal awareness among young people and help future entrepreneurs better understand their responsibilities to consumers.

Knowing your rights is the key to safe and honest relationships between businesses and customers. Therefore, every consumer should be attentive, know how to defend their interests, and not be afraid to contact the relevant regulatory authorities in case of violation of their rights.
