On March 12, 2025, as part of the week of land management disciplines and cooperation with employers, a lecture-workshop was held, which was conducted by the director of the company "Geomagazin-Rivne" Serhiy Alekseyevets. The lecture was organized by teachers of land management disciplines Vadim LYULCHYK and Olga PETROVA. It is through guest lectures-workshops that students have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge directly from professionals in their field.
The company "Geomagazin-Rivne" is a company specializing in the sale and maintenance of geodetic equipment. "Geomagazin-Rivne" offers a wide range of geodetic instruments, including electronic total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, theodolites, levels, 3D scanners and other equipment. The company cooperates with well-known manufacturers such as Sokkia, Trimble and others, which guarantees the quality and reliability of products. The company's qualified specialists carry out diagnostics, repair and calibration of equipment. The company provides consultations on the selection and use of geodetic equipment. "Geomagazin-Rivne" conducts training in working with geodetic instruments, which allows customers to effectively use the purchased equipment.
Today, Serhiy ALEKSEEVETS, with many years of experience in the field of geodesy, shared his knowledge and skills with the students of the Geodesy and Land Management OP. The practical lecture was dedicated to working with the Sokkia electronic total station, one of the most modern and accurate geodetic instruments.
During the event, the main functions and capabilities of the device were considered, as well as its application in various geodetic tasks. The applicants had the opportunity to work independently with the total station, perform measurements and process the obtained data. The specialist shared his tips and recommendations for the effective use of the device.
The speaker spoke about specific cases from practice where the use of a Sokkia electronic total station allowed solving complex geodetic tasks, namely, topographic surveying of complex areas, engineering and geodetic works, cadastral works, monitoring of landslides and other geological processes, and measurements in hard-to-reach places.
“Working with a Sokkia electronic total station requires precision and attention, but the result is worth it,” the lecturer noted.
The practical lecture by the director of the company "Geomagazin-Rivne" Alekseevets Sergey became a valuable experience for the students. This event allowed them to gain practical skills that will be useful in their future professional activities. The teachers of the cyclical commission of land management disciplines express their sincere gratitude to Alekseevets Sergey for the emotional, cognitive, useful and motivated lecture for the applicants of the educational program Geodesy and Land Management.
