Defending Ukraine, Andriy Oleksandrovych Dovzhanytsia died while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region. He was 32 years old.
Andriy Dovzhanytsia was born on February 21, 1990 in the city of Rivne. He graduated from Rivne Secondary School No. 8. After that (2005-2009) he studied at Rivne Agrarian College, majoring in programming. He received his higher education at Ternopil National Economic University, and later received a master's degree from the National University of Water Management and Environmental Management.
He worked as a freight forwarder at the Lukas confectionery company, later as a programmer at a medical college. For some time he worked in his specialty in Poland.
In September 2022, Andriy was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He honestly and selflessly performed his military duty. Andriy was a kind person, calm, diligent student, always ready to help others, never refused those who needed support.
Unfortunately, on January 27, 2023, Andriy Dovzhanytsia died in the Pokrov direction, Donetsk region, but the soldier's body was returned for a dignified burial only two years later... The Hero is survived by his wife, father, and mother.
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, a farewell to the hero took place on Independence Square in Rivne. The soldier, our graduate, was buried in the village of Zirne, Bereznivka territorial community.
