On January 20-21, representatives of the college administration took part online in the traditional NUBiP of Ukraine training seminar for scientific and pedagogical staff, which this year brought together almost a thousand participants.
The seminar was opened by the rector Vadym Tkachuk, who in his report outlined the strategic directions of planning the development of the university under martial law. In his report, the rector also touched upon the issues of assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the financial stability of the university, the education quality assurance system, the digitalization strategy, the place of artificial intelligence in the educational process, challenges in staffing, scientific research and publication activity, prospects for international activity, implementation of the “Citizen, Patriot, Specialist” program, plans for repair work and procurement, etc.



The head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education took part in the seminar. Andriy ButenkoIn his report, he focused on the changes for universities that have occurred in the education quality assurance system.
An academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine spoke about the role of science in a country at war Volodymyr SemynozhenkoHe emphasized examples of cooperation between the Defense Forces and scientists in ensuring defense capability, the need to train personnel for various sectors of the economy, and proposed ways to improve the interaction between the state, business, production, and the scientific community, and to increase the role of science in society, especially in a state that defends itself, protecting its independence and sovereignty.
A worldview report on the present of our state and its prospects, taking into account historical lessons, was presented by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from 2002 to 2006 and from 2008 to 2012, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr LytvynThe participants were intrigued by the historical parallels and insights shared by the speaker.
The first day of the seminar ended with extremely useful and practical cases of regulating labor relations during martial law, which were told by the judge, speaker of the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Olga StupakShe focused on changes in labor legislation, provisions of the Labor Code of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Vacations", which do not apply during martial law, and also cited relevant case law.




The second day of the seminar was opened by the Chairman of the Academic Council of NUBiP Stanislav NikolayenkoReferring to the authorities of pedagogical science and his own experience, he spoke about some aspects of the managerial activities of heads of higher education institutions. Stanislav Nikolayenko also touched upon the professional and qualification characteristics of the head of an educational institution, management styles and management decision-making and requirements for them, typologies of leadership styles, and planning of the organization of activities in the context of the environment.
Among the respected speakers at the seminar was a well-known politician and scientist - head of the Institute of Advanced Defense Technologies of Kyiv Polytechnic University, at one time Prime Minister of Ukraine (2005-2006) and Minister of Defense (2007-2009). Yuriy YekhanurovThe topic of his speech, as expected, was modern technologies, in particular blockchain, in the defense complex of Ukraine, because he and his colleagues are fruitfully working on solving the problems of the Armed Forces.
No less interesting and anticipated was the speech of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2007-2009. Volodymyr OhryzkoThe topic of his speech, against the backdrop of extreme political events in the world, was "The Modern System of International Relations."
As always, the speech of the chairman of the university's supervisory board was interesting and emotional. Mykola Tomenko "Worldview priorities of Ukraine during wartime."
"The EU Erasmus + program as a tool for internationalization and development of the institution" - this was the topic of the speech of the leading project manager, coordinator of opportunities in the fields of youth and sports Kateryna Zhdanova.
Vice-President of the NAAS, Director of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics" focused on the tasks of agricultural science in the context of modern challenges Yuriy LupenkoThe academician spoke about the Sustainable Development Goals, the European Green Deal, the UN Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028, and the challenges associated with climate change.
Summing up the results of the seminar, the rector Vadym Tkachuk thanked its speakers and participants, urged the team to successfully start the second academic semester and, of course, continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
