One of the most important attributes of statehood, the guarantor of the security and freedom of Ukraine is its Armed Forces. On December 6, Ukrainians celebrate one of the most important national holidays - the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Every day, thousands of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defend the country on the front lines, guard its borders on land, in the water and in the air. The soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are a symbol of invincibility and courage. Their strength is the strength of the entire people, their devotion is the key to our freedom.
This Day is dedicated to the date of adoption of the Law of independent Ukraine of December 6, 1991 “On the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. The holiday itself – the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was established in 1993 by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated October 19, No. 3528-XII.
Despite the economic and other difficulties that befell the newly independent Ukrainian state, the current composition of the Ukrainian military managed not only to maintain high professionalism, combat readiness and good army traditions, but also to become one of the most modern and combat-ready armies. The Ukrainian army includes all branches of the armed forces, which are represented by the Air Force, Navy and Land Forces of Ukraine. The structure of the Land Forces includes army aviation and airmobile troops, mechanized and tank troops, missile troops and artillery, highly mobile landing troops and air defense troops. The structure of the Air Forces includes fighter and assault aviation, reconnaissance, transport and bomber aviation, anti-aircraft missile and radio engineering troops.
The valor and honor of soldiers and officers is the true strength of any army. We congratulate all Ukrainian servicemen! You are our defenders and support, our peace. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are the sword and shield of our country. The servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are true heroes of our time, who have shown not only Ukraine, but also the world, unprecedented courage and victory. We wish you good health, professional success and victory. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we continue to live under the blue and yellow flag.
