On November 15, 2024, on International Student Day, the IT department held the annual competition "Best Department Group".
International Students' Day – an annual celebration of student activism around the world, celebrated on November 17.
The competition for the best student group of the department is held to stimulate the cognitive activity of students and form an active life position in them.
The competition was held based on the results of the group's training during the previous academic year and its presentation as a team. Therefore, it was appropriate to summarize the results and determine the winners by International Students' Day.
This year, the competition was held among groups of the OPS "Professional Junior Bachelor" of specialties 121 Software Engineering and 125 Cybersecurity and Information Protection. Ten groups out of 12 participated in the competition. Curators and elders presented their study group to the commission consisting of:
- Iryna Aleksandrivna Yakymchuk, Head of the IT Department;
- Buryachynska Lyudmila Vasylivna, head of the library;
- Christina Kulai, chairwoman of the student council;
- Lyulchyk Vadim Oleksandrovych, college methodologist,
- Sasovsky Taras Anatoliyovych, head of educational and industrial training.
After the competition, the jury summed up the first and second stages and identified the groups and nominations in which they won:
- MODEST GROUP – nominated by 31-K;
- EMOTIONAL GROUP – nominated by 33-IP;
- CONSOLIDATED GROUP – nominated 21-K;
- MYSTERIOUS GROUP – nominated by 41-IP;
- FUN GROUP – nominated by 22-K;
- ERUDOVAN GROUP – nominated by 23-IP;
- SMART GROUP – nominated 22-IP;
- INVENTIVE GROUP – nominated by 32-IP;
- RUNNER-UP GROUP – nominated 31-IP;
- BEST GROUP – nominated – 21-IP.
We would like to note the interesting, creative presentations that gave the groups more points in the second stage, but the points they received in the first stage did not bring the groups to the prize places. These are group 31-IP, which used AI in its presentation, groups 22-IP and 23-IP, which participated in the competition for the first time. The groups' presentations can be viewed at by reference.
