On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Library Day, which is celebrated in Ukraine on September 30, the Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education held a seminar "Forming the library's image using social networks" in online format.
The participants were addressed with an introductory speech by Iryna Lepekha, head of the department of social and pedagogical education. She emphasized that the activities of libraries of educational institutions must meet the needs of users and the requirements of the time in the conditions of rapid development of information and communication technologies. Therefore, it is important to apply innovations in library services, which most often concern the creation of new information and communication services, the use of Internet resources to meet the information needs of users at a new qualitative level.
The welcoming speech was delivered by Mykola Khomenko, Deputy Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center of the VFPO. He welcomed the librarians and invited them to further cooperation, in particular, the use of the Media Library of electronic learning tools in the educational process.
The presentation by the founder of the Berlin Library project was interesting and informative. Maria Chinkina on the topic: “A guide to Berlin libraries that inspires reading.” The goal of the project is to collect information about the availability of books in the Ukrainian language in the capital's book collections and create an online map for readers of Ukrainian books in Berlin.
The Director of the L. Kanishenko Library of the Western Ukrainian National University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, reported on the image aspects of the library of a higher education institution: from social networks to non-trivial ideas. Associate Professor Kazimir Vozny. The report was supplemented by the head of the reading room of the ZUNU library, Ph.D., Associate Professor Iryna Lyubezna and the library's lead librarian Natalia Brukhanskaya.

The results of the professional competition were announced during the seminar. "Best Online Library Service 2024." The competition committee reviewed the participants' materials and named the winners in the following categories:
– the best library website of the ZFPO – Olga Zueva, head of the library of the Glukhiv Agrotechnical Vocational College of SNAU;
– the best blog of the ZFPO librarian – Olena Makarenko, blog “BiblioKulOK”, Alexandria Professional College of Culture and Arts;
– the best library page on social networks and on the ZFPO website – first place was shared Lyudmila Buryachynska, Head of the Library and Information Center of the Higher Educational Service "RFK NUBiP of Ukraine" and Nadiya Parneta, Head of the Library Borshchiv Agrotechnical Vocational College.
