Every year on the eve of Independence Day in Ukraine, the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine is celebrated. This holiday was established on August 23, 2004 by the Decree of the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma: "In honor of the centuries-old history of Ukrainian statehood, the state symbols of independent Ukraine, and in order to foster respect among citizens for the state symbols of Ukraine".
Traditionally, on this day, various events are held in the cities of our country to honor the state symbols of Ukraine and popularize Ukrainian traditions among different segments of the population.
Along with state symbols, Ukraine also has its own spiritual symbols, and one of these is the spiritual anthem of Ukraine - a solemn song, also known as "God, the great, the only one, protect Ukraine for us" or "Prayer for Ukraine." Written in 1885, the music was composed by Mykola Lysenko and the lyrics by Oleksandr Konysky. Today, the work is officially recognized as the spiritual anthem of Ukraine on a par with the state anthem.
On August 23, 2024, students of the 31st and 32nd Land and Law Departments attended an event to set a national record for Ukraine "The Most Mass Performance of the Spiritual Anthem of Ukraine by Children Under 10 Years Old", which was held with the assistance of the Culture Department of the Rivne City Council in the courtyard of the Holy Intercession Cathedral. The students joined in a joint prayer to support the little patriots, but first of all to ask the Lord for peace in Ukraine, and the speedy return of our brave soldiers with victory.
